Please introduce yourself and share your role at AGroup.
My name is Przemek and my story at the company started in 2005, 20 years ago :). At AGroup I wear multiple hats, which keeps my work both dynamic and exciting. My primary roles include Business Analyst, Project Manager, and Implementation Consultant. As a Business Analyst, I focus on understanding client needs, gathering requirements, and ensuring our HR and Payroll solutions align perfectly with business objectives. In my role as a Project Manager, I oversee project timelines, coordinate teams, and ensure smooth execution from planning to delivery. As an Implementation Consultant, I work closely with clients to successfully integrate our system into their operations, providing guidance, training, and support. I truly enjoy being involved in different aspects of the process, as it allows me to bridge the gap between business needs and technology while ensuring successful project outcomes
What excites you the most about working with HRB Portal?
What excites me the most about working with HRB Portal is the opportunity to contribute to a platform that directly impacts businesses by streamlining HR and payroll processes. I find it rewarding to work on solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and compliance—areas that are crucial for any organization. Additionally, I’m excited about the possibility of working with advanced technologies, automation, and data-driven insights that enhance user experience and make payroll and HR management seamless. Being part of a team that builds a system that simplifies complex processes for businesses and employees alike is truly motivating for me
What are some of the biggest challenges you face in your role, and how do you overcome them?
In the context of HR, payroll or working time accounting modules, each topic is a very difficult topic. The consequences of incorrect analysis and settings are huge. Ultimately, it is always about employee remuneration. In the case of errors, everyone knows the consequences.
This is a big burden regardless of the position I held. Fortunately, I have not had any such slip-ups so far, which I am proud of.
To sum up, if you analyze the topic well, add 20 years of experience to it, and you have documentation for all this and confirmation of the correctness of the assumptions by the client – this is a good omen that you have done your job well and what you are doing will be done correctly.
What’s the most exciting project you’ve worked on so far at AGroup?
I definitely remember my first project 😊
Working at AGroup (before the takeover we were called Hogart Data Centre) was my first serious job after graduation. I was quickly involved in the implementation
If at the end, you see a client who is satisfied, who got exactly what he expected, and not what we can give him, it gives you incredible satisfaction from what you did.
Each project is different, we deal with different people, different conditions and requirements and, in fact, I remember and recall every project I have led very positively.
What’s one fun fact about your team/company/HRB Portal that people might not know?
Most of them take place at company events, of which we have quite a few, but I can’t talk about it here 🙂
Returning to the system itself, I remember one solution for our client. The client asked us to help him verify the postal code provided by the employee. After clicking the button what we made for him, a website opened, which showed various information assigned to this postal code: like province, commune, district, post office. Thanks to this, the client was able to verify the correctness of other entered data.
One day, the external domain that was used for this purpose (we don’t know the owner), was not paid on time, which resulted in it being purchased by another company, which placed “quite specific advertisements” on this domain, having nothing to do with the previous activity. How surprised we were at what type of content was displayed on the computer after clicking the link 🙂
Let’s say warm thanks to Przemek for sharing his story and please stay tuned as we introduce more people who are shaping the future of HR tech!
